From the offices of the Baseball Hall of Fame

COOPERSTOWN – Lisa Bendino-Anderson has been named Vice President of Museum Affairs for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

Anderson has been the director of the Utah Valley University Museum of Art since 2017, overseeing operations and charting the vision for the public university’s institute in Orem, Utah. Prior to arriving at UVU, Anderson was the president and CEO of the Mesa (Ariz.) History Museum for 13 years. While in Mesa, Anderson co-founded the Cactus League Hall of Fame and The Arizona Spring Training Experience, a statewide initiative to share Arizona’s rich Spring Training history.

Since securing her undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University and master’s degree at Wake Forest University – both in cultural anthropology with a focus in museum studies – Anderson has devoted her professional career to museums and nonprofit organizations.

In her new role at the Hall of Fame, Anderson will oversee the Museum’s operations, including its archives and library, digital and physical collections, education efforts, curatorial projects, exhibits and design.

“Lisa’s passion for museums and appreciation for the cultural importance of baseball makes her a wonderful addition to our Leadership team,” said Josh Rawitch, President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. “As the Hall of Fame moves forward with groundbreaking exhibits and exciting new technology, Lisa’s leadership and ability to navigate the nonprofit world will empower our team of dedicated professionals to tell the stories that only Cooperstown can.”
