Quick Hits: Arenado Swinging and Hitting

Nolan Arenado

Nolan Arenado leads the majors with 363 RBI since the start for the 2015 season, 60 more than Edwin Encarnacion, who is second on the list. Yes, Coors Field is a hitting oriented ballpark, but the hitter still has to drive in the runs, and no other player on the Rockies ranks in the top 10. And that is not all.

Arenado also makes an impact on the road. In that same stretch he ranks eighth in MLB in road RBI, tied with Albert Pujols of the Angels. Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is the most consitent run producer. Since the start of 2015 he ranks third in MLB in RBI on the road and also third in RBI overall..

Impressive? Well, since 1913 only four teams had a better record in multi-home run games. All four advanced to the post-season, including the 1929 world champion A’s.
