Mariners minor leaguers spend $683.52 to make it to Isotopes game

If you aren’t an early riser, like four members of the Tacoma Rainers, then getting up for a 3 a.m. flight from Phoenix to Albuquerque probably isn’t your thing.

That was the case for Mariners prospects Mark Lowe, D.J. Peterson, Dan Vogelbach and Pat Light. They skipped the team flight and booked a later flight. That’s where the trouble started.

Dodgers first to 60 wins and on pace for best record in franchise history

As the Dodgers go into Sunday with the most wins in baseball here’s a little food for thought. L.A. is on pace for 108 wins. The franchise, which has been around in one form or another since 1884 had it’s best season in 1953 when the Brooklyn Dodgers won 105 games. Since moving to Los Angeles in 1958 the Dodgers have only won more than 100 games once and that was in 1972 when they won 102 games.
