Three days ago the Rockies were a team in bullpen limbo.
Their three primary late-inning relievers down the stretch in their claiming a post-season birth for only the fourth time in franchise history had all filed for free agency. And as much as the Rockies liked their rotation and as confident as they are in their lineup, there was no denying that rebuilding that bullpen was the critical factor for them thinking they could build off the 2017 success in 2018.
