There is something about Bud Black’s birthday that brings the best out in the teams he managers. In Black’s first year as a manager of the Rockies, the team snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 6-3 victory at Arizona on Friday night. On June 17th, 15-year-old Jason Lockhart was injured during a baseball tournament in South Carolina. He was crossing home plate when the catcher threw the ball back to the pitcher hitting Jason in the face.

PHOENIX – The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Jon Gray from the 10-day disabled list (broken bone in left foot) and have recalled catcher Ryan Hanigan from Triple-A Albuquerque. Two days ago, Umpire John Trumpane saved a womens life in Pittsburgh. You can read the full story Here but in short Trumpane saw a women climb over ther rail of the Roberto Clemente Bridge.
